A Family Event
Celebrate Israel
Sid Jacobson JCC along with other LI JCCs is celebrating Israel@60, a fun-filled family event on August 3 from 11am to 2pm at the Henry Kaufmann Campgrounds in Wheatley Heights, NY. Visit the scenic wooded campgrounds of JCC camps and learn about JCC camps for the upcoming year of 2009. The event is geared towards families with elementary, school-age children. Bring a picnic lunch and enjoy an Israeli snack on us. There will never be a dull moment!
At 12pm enjoy a lively performance by the Tzofim Friendship Caravan, featuring an Israeli Singing Dance Troupe. There will be plenty of opportunities to participate in various hands-on activities, including arts ‘n’ crafts, cooking, and much more. Guests are encouraged to bring their bathing suits, as all are welcome to take a swim in the largest outdoor pool complex on Long Island.
