Ingredientes
For the Meat Filling:
1 lb ground beef or lamb
1 small onion, diced
2 carrots, diced
2 cloves garlic, minced
2 tablespoons tomato paste
1 cup beef broth
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
½ teaspoon thyme
½ teaspoon rosemary
½ cup frozen peas
Salt & pepper to taste
For the Mashed Potato Topping:
3 large potatoes, peeled and cubed
¼ cup milk
2 tablespoons butter
Salt & pepper to taste
Preparación
Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
Make the meat filling: In a skillet over medium heat, cook ground meat until browned. Add onion, carrots, and garlic, cooking until softened. Stir in tomato paste, beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, thyme, and rosemary. Simmer for 10 minutes. Stir in frozen peas.
Make mashed potatoes: Boil potatoes until fork-tender, about 15 minutes. Drain and mash with milk, butter, salt, and pepper until smooth.
Assemble: Transfer meat filling to a baking dish, spreading mashed potatoes evenly on top.
Bake for 20 minutes until the top is golden brown. Let cool slightly before serving.
